My name is Alex Giuseppe Vera. I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. I attended Middleton Magnet High School from 2003 to 2007, where I enrolled in courses pertaining to Computer Systems Technology. In 2004, I completed my A+ Certification in PC repair. I later went on to taking Cisco courses in Server and Router configuration.
During my junior and senior year of high school, I joined the Siberian yearbook staff, where I found a love for design. I started off as Business manager where I managed client accounts via an Access Database. I kept records of advertisements sold, patrons, and books sold. It was not until my senior year, where I was nominated as Co-Editor-in-Chief, that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in Graphic Design or Hardware Design.
Currently, I am attending the University of Tampa for a major in Graphic Design. I joined The Minaret, UT's student-run newspaper, to help out. In my mid-freshman year I took on the role of Online Editor. I redesigned the site in the summer of 2008. I redesigned the site once again in the summer of 2009 for an alternative Content Management System - Wordpress via CoPress.
During the summer of 2009, I also interned at Creative Loafing Tampa. I moved around different departments learning everything from talking to clients, booking classified ads, designing and presenting art for advertising campaigns and editorial.
I contribute my skills to the Club Social Ecuatoriano de Tampa, Inc., a non-profit organization, by maintaining their website as well as filming events and creating marketing information.
